At Echternach, Luxembourg, on the bank of the Sauer River, a monument has been installed to commemorate the valliant soldiers of the 4th, the 5th and the 83rd Infantry Divisions, for the liberation of the city of Echternach in October 1944 and again in December 1944.

Also to commemorate the crossing of the Sauer River by the 78th Infantry Division on February 7, 1945.
